![]() ![]() Researching everything to make a fridge is important too. With your food growing super fast, before long you will have so much food you will free up farmers/cooks to do other tasks. Typically I look for that and natural borders like mountains and/or water sources. Use the fertility filter to find a good spot for your grow zones and build around it! I'd recommend starting on an easier setting to grasp everything. I apologize if these are all easily found, but I'm hoping I can get updated answers and not necessarily year+ old posts. Is there anyone who streams who has a recent let's play/tutorial with no mods? I don't want to follow along, but I would like to see certain aspects I'm missing. Is that the right idea or should I try for something else? Starting pawns: I try to get a burning passion planter, shooter and construction. Plus dandelions in a pen if I have animals. How do you typically start off? Do you make a barracks with 3 beds and that's it or do you put a table/other things in it as well? What's a good size to make it? Or should you just avoid the barracks and go straight for seperate rooms? What about grow zones, how big should I start my fields? I normally do a few at a time, rice and corn for food and then the medical one and cotton. How do you make a come back? If one of your three is a key pawn, do you say to hell with it or push through? If so how? Reassign their jobs to a crappier pawn or just avoid those jobs depending on what they are? I find if I lose one of my pawns (kidnap/death,) everything drastically goes downhill. Who do you typically get to make your bricks? Do you make a shelter at first out of wood or just say screw it and make them sleep outside while you deconstruct the walls and stuff on the map? I find it difficult to manage my pawns to make stone bricks(blocks?) Along with mining, construction, planting and research. ![]() I really struggle to not use wood for all my buildings. I did rivers for the watemill, but overall I feel like I enjoy the hills maps more. I've done the all year growing, but I found not having a winter was kinda lacking and typically a hills map. Also, I like a moderate temperature setting, usually 40/60. I feel like it's as middle ground as I can go. I generally always play Crashlanded, Cassandra Classic and Adventure Story. I just want to try and clarify a few things and get some tips/suggestions on how to improve my game. I've been trying to look questions up as I go, but just recently got wifi back after moving so they've been limited. Hey everyone, I picked this up last week and am struggling a bit. r/RimWorldStreams - For all of your videos and streams needs r/RimWorldTales - /u/srgrafo's Rimworld Comic Series r/RimworldSwap - Swap saves with other players r/ShitRimworldSays - /r/nocontext posts about /r/RimWorld ![]() r/RimworldArt - Posts about Rimworld Artwork (not fanart!) r/Rimreddit - Colonists playing only on a single planet r/RimWorldPorn - High Quality Images of Rimworld Colonies No discussing pirated versions of the game.
